Just completed the Kreg Screw survey and would like to add a request that the survey did not give me an opportunity to. I want to echo others OC members who've stated they buy from Amazon without issue. Good thing because they have become difficult to find at any convenient brick and mortar location here in…Continue
I am a long time kreg user and own many products, just purchased the kreg HD for use with some framing. I received it this weekend and was very disappointed once I opened the package to see the jig was only packaged in cardboard and no case to keep everything together. What do others use for a case for the HD? Also, was disappointed the area set for clamps was not the correct size to receive either side of the face clamps that I own. One side was too small (Jig would fall off) and the…Continue

My name is Joe. I purchased my first Kreg Jig, the K4. I'll tell ya, it's the best thing since sliced bread. I built my laundry room cabinets with this jig and man it was great. As long as your cuts are straight you get perfect tight joints that you can even see in some cases. It feels good drilling the hole knowing you're going to get perfect joints and you want to keep building everything. Lol. I just laminated my counter top and added a piece to make my L shape. Tight…Continue
Hey everyone, just wanted to know if anyone else has had problems with their precision router table. I,ve have had two, the first is the fence do not line up with each other, soft wood its not to bad, ( like pine) but hard wood I have to pull the piece from the fence to clear the other one , and we all know what happens there. the second is the bracket that holds the fence to the table. is comes lose, I,ve tighten the screws so many times that they have become strip. I,ve been…Continue
My old (circa 1982) Craftsman 1.25 HP router would not hold a large (3/4" straight @ 1/8" depth) bit securely so I did some homework and picked up the DeWalt DW618PK router. The DW618 is a 2.25 HP variable speed router with 1/2" collet. The PK indicates that it comes with both a fixed base and a plunge base and a nice soft case to carry everything.
My first use was cutting some 3/4" dadoes in a work bench top to install some T-track. I was able to set the depth stop on the plunge…Continue
I just bought the saw guide and watched a few YouTube videos.
I started using it and it is a great tool. It was easy to set up with my DeWalt saw.
I am planning on building some cabinets and am going to use the Rip-Cut jig.
And of course the trusty pocket-hole jig too.
I bought this Drill in the last quarter 2014.
Its not your average Drill Press so I thought I would post a review for it.
My Radial Arm Drill review RDP-116
Carba-Tec branded 5 Speed Radial Arm Drill Press.
Motor is ½ hp
If your Kreg pocket holes are getting harder to drill, or your drill bit gets excessively hot during operation, it may be time to get your drill bit(s) professionally sharpened. Luckily, the professionals at Kreg are here to help you out.
Simply send your drill bit(s) to:
just bought one, great idea! i like to use my ryobi 18v 5 1/2 circular saw alot. i found that the square cut guide arm does not reach the saw base. i was wondering if it would be ok to drill another hole to fix this? their are other circle from the manufacturing process that i think i can use as a guide. whatcha think??
I'm so happy receiving my Kreg bits and screws. Nobody regrets spending for this brand in my beautiful Costa Rica. Anyway, I bought on Amazon site. Bye…Continue

Just finished assembling my new Kreg Universal Workbench with casters. Great quality and gotta love that blue! Easy assembly using a 1/2" socket wrench with extension. Planning to use it as a mobile miter saw stand so now I have to figure out what kind of top and how to attach raised wings to support the material being cut.
So we ordered the tool and it was delivered four days later. My husband put it together on Thursday and we used it this morning. We have cut so many pocket holes I can't count. We have about 120 boards cut and ready for our patio chairs and this is what I have been doing. Four pocket holes per board with two on each end and will go back to put a single hole on the long section in all of the boards. Some boards(7) only had two holes on one end, these are the feet to the chairs which…Continue
First off I am not a woodworker just a homeowner with limited DIY skill.
So far it's helped build a workbench and heavy duty shelf in the garage.
What has impressed me the most is the strength of the joints.
The workbench has been made out left over materials and scrap but it's really strong.
The system is easy to use just read the instructions grab a couple of scrap pieces of work and you will understand it in less than 30mins.
I'm really happy with it I have nearly…

After viewed a video of Ana White's Blog, I decided to buy a Right Angle Clamp and exceeds all my expectations.
Great quality, support, it let me one hand free, I can uses the same pressure for all the job (according with the thickness).
With this quality products (Kreg Jig Mini and Right…Continue
I've bout the Kreg Right-Angle Clamp about two months ago and thought to give my two cents take of it for a change. I strongly suggest to make the pin side of the clamp a bit thinner. My problem is that with the standard drill bit that come with the Kreg 5 Jig it is a bit too think and Especially with soft wood (but not only) it tend to rip the hole, now I've just ordered the Mini jig attachment and absolutely sure it will basically be…Continue

I'm an amateur/beginner woodworker. and just in the process of acquiring tools. I've just got the K5 and stated working with it and so far so good. I'd like to see 1/2" size screws and matching size in the sizing jig, for thinner boards. as improvement, but other then that I am very happy with it in contrary to the Multi-Mark Measuring tool. which has nice concept but unfortunately I like many others complain about the tool not being tight when measuring 90 degrees, and it has a few…Continue
I have two screw driver bits. One I got with my Kreg Jr and the head is too small for the screws. It constantly slips and rounds out the head The other I got with the K5 and it is warped. I ended up buying some replacements(not Kreg) at our local hardware store and they work perfect. Has anybody else had problems with their bits or did I just get unlucky?
I'm new to this community and I'm new to carpentry in general. I'm going to make a few cabinet doors and I'm planning to use the European hinges. My dilemma is there are so many brands and styles that I am clueless as to which one to buy. I realize that the decision is partially based on what the inside of the cabinet looks like so I need to make sure I buy the correct ones. I am mainly interested in the adjustable hinge because apparently you can make it perfect even if you are a tiny…Continue
