It doesn't matter what brand you buy, they all work in a similar fashion.
Carbide Tip Glass and Tile Cutting Drill Bit Sets are cheaper to purchase than Diamond tipped circular types.
To be honest all you have to be is patient (after a few mistakes, running water is not a bad idea if you can manage it) otherwise pay attention to the glass or tile you are intending to cut into and where you intend to drill. Try to see if…

I have been looking at this system for a couple of years now and been wondering when are Kreg going to release the mark 2 version with a better clamping set up and possibly a better runner slide as I've seen both of these parts of the product criticized. It's been out since 2009 I believe, any news Kreg?
Also, it is impossible to find a dealer in the UK were I live to supply one, and the pricing on Amazon seems pretty high... so the question to Kreg is when are you going to…

I picked up a cheap $29 Harbor Freight trim router to cut grooves for splines in miter joints. I was thoroughly disappointed when the 1/8" splines were extremely loose within the grooves. The grooves ended up measuring .168 inches using a .125" bit. Since then, I looked at the compact router offerings from Bosch, DeWalt & Porter Cable.
All were 1.25 HP, had 1/4" collets, came in a package that included a plunge base and were highly rated by their users. I chose the DeWalt…

Ideal cord manager really works well.
Here is an interesting cord manager I found .

I like this portable base a lot, but it has one design flow that I found a little annoying. The 3 mounting holes on the base are not counter sunk to allow mounting screws to be flush with the bottom of the base. Thus when using a jig in the base the jig adjustment are off by the height of the screw head that was used. The jig will not sit flush to the bottom of the base.

Since I bought the Rip Cut I have questioned the quality and design of the tool. It took me multiple times to get it calibrated. I then made one rip cut on 3/4" plywood with my 6 1/2" saw. It did not stay square and totally screwed up my wood. Never going to use that again. It should be all aluminum and they need a better way to mount the saw to the sled. No more screws and more secure.

I do love this product, making it easy to build projects for my home. Just started building a book case and hit a snag.
I am using 1/2" material and followed the screw size chart which says the 1" screw and it was too long and came out the other side! I was abruptly disappointed as on my last project I used 3/4" material and it was a breeze.
Anyone had this issue with 1/2" material?

Received the SawStop about a week ago and have used it enough that I think I can write a review. First off, I bought this saw due to the safety aspect, my old saw was a 3HP Shop Fox.
The things I like about the saw:
-Dust collection is better than my previous saw, the blade is encased in a shroud and the overarm collector works; the only dust that…

Just completed the Kreg Screw survey and would like to add a request that the survey did not give me an opportunity to. I want to echo others OC members who've stated they buy from Amazon without issue. Good thing because they have become difficult to find at any convenient brick and mortar location here in…

I am a long time kreg user and own many products, just purchased the kreg HD for use with some framing. I received it this weekend and was very disappointed once I opened the package to see the jig was only packaged in cardboard and no case to keep everything together. What do others use for a case for the HD? Also, was disappointed the area set for clamps was not the correct size to receive either side of the face clamps that I own. One side was too small (Jig would fall off) and the…

Hi everyone,
My name is Joe. I purchased my first Kreg Jig, the K4. I'll tell ya, it's the best thing since sliced bread. I built my laundry room cabinets with this jig and man it was great. As long as your cuts are straight you get perfect tight joints that you can even see in some cases. It feels good drilling the hole knowing you're going to get perfect joints and you want to keep building everything. Lol. I just laminated my counter top and added a piece to make my L shape. Tight…
ContinueHey everyone, just wanted to know if anyone else has had problems with their precision router table. I,ve have had two, the first is the fence do not line up with each other, soft wood its not to bad, ( like pine) but hard wood I have to pull the piece from the fence to clear the other one , and we all know what happens there. the second is the bracket that holds the fence to the table. is comes lose, I,ve tighten the screws so many times that they have become strip. I,ve been…

My old (circa 1982) Craftsman 1.25 HP router would not hold a large (3/4" straight @ 1/8" depth) bit securely so I did some homework and picked up the DeWalt DW618PK router. The DW618 is a 2.25 HP variable speed router with 1/2" collet. The PK indicates that it comes with both a fixed base and a plunge base and a nice soft case to carry everything.
My first use was cutting some 3/4" dadoes in a work bench top to install some T-track. I was able to set the depth stop on the plunge…

I just bought the saw guide and watched a few YouTube videos.
I started using it and it is a great tool. It was easy to set up with my DeWalt saw.
I am planning on building some cabinets and am going to use the Rip-Cut jig.
And of course the trusty pocket-hole jig too.

I'm so happy receiving my Kreg bits and screws. Nobody regrets spending for this brand in my beautiful Costa Rica. Anyway, I bought on Amazon site. Bye everybody.

Just finished assembling my new Kreg Universal Workbench with casters. Great quality and gotta love that blue! Easy assembly using a 1/2" socket wrench with extension. Planning to use it as a mobile miter saw stand so now I have to figure out what kind of top and how to attach raised wings to support the material being cut.
