a rather curt response what? "live with it" huh!

It's a marketing decision.

If it were sold separately, like $9.95---plus shipping---

most would complain about the price.

Users can learn to use the paper chart---

put it into a transparent zip-lock style bag,

file it with their tools, and

live with it.

Pierre,

Was not intended to be a curt response.

Sorry you took it that way.

My inputs were offered as an alternate.

There's things that we have to deal with what is handed us.

Many times we just have to figure things out for ourselves.

 "Modify and adapt".

Ken, I agree that we need to "modify and adapt", but if that were always true, I would have "adapted" to a Harbor Freight pocket hole jig and never tried the MUCH, MUCH better Kreg Jig tool.  My only point is that Kreg is already producing the product so there are no "production" costs, it's simply a matter of marketing them.  Kreg already has as outlets of thousand of dealers so why not just offer it through them for $4.95-$9.95 and give Kreg customers something they truly want...or we could just "settle" for good enough.

Ok, here’s the deal: as written, your text was not only curt, condescending, but also offensive to most of us who enjoy and use the Kreg tools. Please read what you wrote and remember, you write for those who read it and not for yourself. Just saying that it was not meant a certain way does not cut it. One reads what is written and, most of us who are smart enough can deduct and derive the tone, intent and purpose. I have copied and pasted what you wrote and may pass it on to my main contact at KREG TOOLS. We are the clients and customers…. I was going to write that if you drop the price in half, I would buy two of them and it would be great publicity. By the way the page in the manual does not cover all the screw selection size for various stocks like the circular chart does. BTW, most of us do ‘modify and adapt’, we certainly do not a lesson from someone who does not know us, our abilities, background and accomplishments. Understand?

well said David Niebeling...

Where do I find the paper chart??

Ken, I found it in one of the responses, to the topic, on pg 1---

http://kregjig.ning.com/forum/topics/screw-size-for-different-sized...

''ScrewSettings.pdf"

Try it, see if you can copy it to your file, and make copies as needed.

ok... I've just about finished creating / inventing a straight slide rule type selection guide (like the old slide rules of yore, remember those?). I should be ready for market soon. Sweet!

KREG rep  said he sent the requests to  production and sales , still waiting for some updates , I would think they would want to start making sales ?????

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
