Help - I need to raise workbench to match height of other workbench

As my first Kreg project I am building the workbench as per the project plan page. I made a mistake with the leg heights and having completed the bench save adding the worktop, the bench will be 1 cm shorter than my other bench. I could put 1cm pieces under each leg but feel all the hard work of making the bench will be undermined by the obvious leg extensions. Is there another way to raise it under the worktop so it won't show but will also enable me to secure the worktop?

Leg levelers are okay for legs that are made of 2x4's---but---

With 4x4 legs, I'd recommend making shims that are the same width and depth, of the leg.

Cut 4x4 stock to the applicable shim thickness.

Level off the workbench...use tapered shim stock, to achieve  the desired height.

Measure the space between the leg bottom and the floor.

Record the dimensions.

Make applicable shims.

Raise the legs/bench---slide the shims in place and secure with adhesive (hot melt glue).

Hot melt glue will permit easy removal of the shims, at a later date.

I have counter top material on mine and if i get stain on it just wipe it down with mineral spirits and every so often I take a 220 grit and run sander over it to clean it up  Been on for 7 yrs and no  problem

My guess too. Haven't seen "hardwood" and "cheap" used together in a very long time

If your floor is perfecyly level & you know absolutely you will never ever move it,& while there is min.lenthwise movemeny,there is some,& all of your legs are made from the same tree-maybe you can get lucky with shims.By the way the workbench I have mine on has 4x6 legs & the top 2 sheet of 3/4 plwood on a torsion box frame 6' thick .It needs to move just about any time I start a new project,yes it has a tempered hardboard top.   DENO
