Hi Mike, I'm in Ontario as well... keep your eye on Home Depot for the Rigid 13" planner, every now and then they have a great sale, I picked up one for $249.99 and love it. I'm close to the US and have family in Minneapolis and visit often so I was forunate to pick up an 6 1/4" Rigid JP610 jointer as well for $279.00 I've been very pleased with both units and use them often. Not sure what part your in, however keep an eye on Kijiji, they always seem to have decent finds. I've heard some say that the Ryobi Planner is "ok" but the Rigid or a Dewalt is a better choice.
maybe the table just needs waxing, i have had the same problem when I owned the dewalt 733 and a quick waxing of the tables did the trick.

I have a Dewalt 12-1/2'' planer (model DW733), i haven't used it that much and lately it's been giving trouble. The feed rollers don't pull the boards through even though i'm only taking 1/32'' off per pass and the infeed and outfeed tables are in perfect alignment with the planer bed as per the instructions. Lately i had to run twenty two lenghts of 10' long by 10'' wide by 1-1/4'' thick popular throught it and i had to physically push the lenghts through, it was quite the workout. I checked the reviews on Amazon before i purchased the planer and some people have had the same problem, overall though it got good reviews. Just something to be aware of if you decide on the DW733. I'll have to take mine to the service centre.
See if a thicker slice will make it run on its own It might not be grabbing enough wood

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
