Hi Laura - I think you're on the right track as far as the type of paint sprayer you want. I think I would avoid the company you referenced though. Had a difficult time getting off their website with all the pop ups and "do you really want to leave?" questions which left no option for a "YES, I want to leave". Comapanies that resort to marketing ploys like that I avoid.
What they are offering is generally referred to as an HVLP sprayer. Excellent finish and minimal cleanup. Really only need to shoot some appropriate solvent through gun and you're done. No air compressor or anything needed. They implement their own air source. Picture a shopvac in reverse. You can get a decent one in the $100 to $150 range, I have an Earlex 3500 I am pleased with. There are better out there; multistage units and such but the really top of the line ones go $700+. The unit I have is available at WoodCraft for $149 now but they do go on sale, I picked mine up for about $110. There are several other good ones out there also.
Graco is a good quality mfg, they also have a full line of airless sprayers but I don't think you would want to get into those things. They're more for buildings, fences and lawn furniture. Neither require use of a compressor.
If you don't mind reconditioned equipment try here:

I've bought a couple of sprayers from them and they are decent to deal with.

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
