triton parts

I hope this is the proper place for my inquiry.  I need to order parts for my triton router and have not had any luck.  Anybody here know if that can be done in the U.S.?

Thanks for the replies. I have ordered from the triton web site and so far so good. I  believe I got a metric collet with my router and needed one that fit my bits.

KEN ,  I do not own  Triton router, was just wondering why Kreg , was getting away from them , as I have seen a few of the members use the Triton router on the Kreg tables , it dose not matter to me as most of my router,s are craftsman and do not have a problem with them , what kind of router,s do you own or use ?????

Effective May 1, 2014, owners of the Triton Power Tool brand began fulfilling all Triton orders under a new distribution model. That move put all sales and marketing activities back with the brand owner, Powerbox International. This move allowed for more efficiency, benefitting both dealers and customers. 

Kreg Tool Company did distribute Triton Power Tools in the U.S. from 2011 to 2014. However, we are no longer the contact to go through when it comes to missing parts, etc.

I don't own a Triton router, either.

I'm partial to Porter-Cable and Bosch.

I've had P-C routers for 15+ years--- they perform well.

No problems/issues to date.

Accessories and associated items are the most available for the P-C, 

which makes them my most useful routers, for hand-held and router table use.

My Craftsman router, equipped with collet for only 1/4" shank use, I use for hand-routing tasks.

Great tool that I've had for 30+ years.  Still works great.

I like the integral light and on-off switch control that is integral with the handle grip.

It includes nice features, not found in most routers.

Only drawback, it doesn't have a VAC hookup feature, so it creates lot of dust---therefore, I use it outdoors---let the sawdust blow onto the driveway/deck, then use the shop-vac to clean-up.

The Bosch Palm VS router, (1/4" bit shank bits only), is my most used router, for tasks that dictate smaller router bits. 

I have a mini router table, purchased from Rockler---great for small routing tasks on a router table.

This little table can be clamped to a work top, table, bench, pickup tail gate, or the like.

It features a fence and vac port.  

I sometimes clamp it to my handy useful Triton tripod work stand.

Many times I have two of the Bosch Palm routers set-up, for at-the-ready use, when performing multiple routing tasks on the same workpiece.  Also, one in the mini table and the other with the plunge base for hand-held routing tasks.

Equipment set-up is key, along with applicable fences, jigs, gauges, and the like, that makes for quicker routing tasks.

It cuts my machine time, to sometimes less than 20%, of what it use to take much longer, when having to setup, take-down, and switch to other router cutting tasks.

Setups are the most time consuming functions.

When doing multiple routing tasks, I may setup several different routing stations---move from one station to another, for one operation to another then another.

When custom fitting and installing doors, shutters, and the like, I have a station for ripping and trimming a door edge and end, then move on to the router stations for final dressing and adding the clearance swing 2-3 degree slant-cut to the door edge. 

Followed by a station for routing the door hinge mortise and door locks.

Love all my routers.

Check out the hand-held Triton Palm Power Planer.

Features a vac port hookup.

Can be used with one-hand operation and makes for rapid cleanup on rough surfaces and trimming.

Great for those who make projects from used pallets.

Cuts down on the sanding time---eliminate the need for a belt sander.

Take down the rough with the planer and then go to final sanding with an ROS.

The front shoe-base features grooves, for breaking edges and making rapid chamfers. 

To-date, so far so good.

Nice tool---I love mine.

I've made some micro-fine tuning cutting adjustments to get it to suit my planing needs.

(Not defined in the owners manual).

When you get it, register it ASAP---so as to get the extended 3 year extended warranty.

 

   

PS---comes in very handy for dressing log ends or stumps faces, previously cut with a chainsaw.

Since this has become a router thread I will share my router setups, 

I have 2 Makita rf1101s that I got used from the makita service center, festool of1400,ridgid trim router,

mcls 3 hp unit that must have been a drunken purchase,a ryobi 2 hp that doesn't get much use, and the triton that replaced one of the makitas for a router table.
