If you need volunteers to test this and compare to other offerings (such as my craftsman router and table) then I'm more than happy to help :-)
So outside of the T-square design fence and the stand - is there any other differences? I was curious on the stand update? Is that to accommodate any future products or accessories currently not offered by Kreg?
Hi Ken - that may be so but I think what a lot of people will be interested in is whether for the price difference, what they need it for and how often they use it (as with any tool) is it worth the investment. I really like all the Kreg tools I own and use and am just interested in whether there is much benefit for my needs and budget. That was all.
Most are aware that a Kreg Tools router table is a superior performer and comparing one against most other tables out here will require testing done against the high end performers to be fair and accurate for testing its performance. I would say that it should be tested against other current Kreg router tables and other high end performers to get an honest opinion. It should also be tested by those whom have considerable amount of experience in using a router and working with wood.
Does anyone know when it will be available in the UK? I was just about to order the current version!
Andy,
An experienced skilled wood worker can tell the difference with only giving the equipment a cursor glance.
If one can't afford it, then it's too expensive for them---go the less costly route.
Use simple woodworking hand tools.
The result may be the same, it's just a matter of how you get there.
People complain about the high cost of a Kreg jig.
There's less expensive means of fastening with screws.
If its to expensive for them ---use something else.
But, why come on Kregs web site and complain about the cost?
Next we'll be reading about some complaining about the high cost of this routing table.

Jay,
I'm with you on that.
I've gotten many requests like, "I want to field test this or want to field test that...", or "I want to be your field tester", or, "I want to be your rep", or the like.
I've gotten some requests from persons who don't know the difference between a walleye and a water snake, but, many come on like they're an authority on the matter.
My inbox would get filled with that or people standing in line, banging on the door to get in.
Most of them out there are just looking for FREE stuff.

Chris,
Perhaps Kregs Customer Service people will have an answer for you.
Or, contact your local UK dealer.
He'd know when it'll be available.

Hello Chris,
PRS1045 Kreg Precision Router Table System(s) will begin shipping to Kreg Dealers everywhere, both U.S. and international, beginning (approximately) early spring 2015. As Ken said, your best bet is to search for a Kreg Dealer near you on our website: https://www.kregtool.com/find-a-dealer/international-dealers.aspx. Once you've identified a nearby dealer, be sure to call ahead before visiting to ensure if/when they will have this new product available. If you are unable to buy locally, we recommend www.amazon.com for international orders. They are generally very straightforward with their international shipping prices and time frames.
If you have any further questions, feel free to contact Kreg Customer Support directly: https://www.kregtool.com/customer-service/default.aspx. They are very knowledgeable and will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Thank you for your interest in Kreg products!
Best,

I was just thinking about the old one too! Will the new one be available with the predrilled insert plate if ordered direct from Kreg?
Hello Nathan,
The new Kreg Precision Router Table System (Item# PRS1045) features a high-performance router tabletop, which comes complete with a heavy-duty Kreg insert plate. While the included insert plate comes undrilled, it can be custom-drilled by professionals at Kreg for capability with your router.
We also offer an insert plate that is pre-drilled for specific Porter-Cable and Bosch routers, as well as an insert plate that is pre-drilled for specific Triton routers. Both of these insert plates are sold (and must be purchased) separately.
Even if you order direct from Kreg, we are unable to include a pre-drilled plate with your new PRS1045 System, as the tabletop is prepackaged to include the undrilled insert plate.
Thank you for your interest in Kreg products!

Hi. I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing. How effective is it? It's adaptable to any router table. Continue

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
