Good find GARY , looks in good shape ,thanks for sharing !!

Does your "band"-saw take requests? :)

Nice buy, hope it provides many years of project making.

nice band saw have you ran anything throw it.

Not yet i got to check it out for alignment .

Gary,

Hope that saw works out for you.

I got a chance to checkout the bandsaw was going through the alignment ran into a problem was centering the upper guide and tried losing the guide pivot set screw and the casting snapped so nothing to hold the upper guide in place. Very poor cast aluminum part. I understand the harvard freight bandsaw uses the same guide. I thought about upgrading using carter upgrade kit but $244 for Reliant DD 90 model. I was surprised it cut very smooth even without upper guide cutting a straight cut it was just pine though.

Gary , if you have a weld shop in your area  and they have a tig welder , they may be able to weld it up , then you could redrill and tap out the set screw hole , hope this will help , JIM !

Gary,

The Reliant was discontinued some years ago---

parts NLA.

Check with Central Machinery---they may have some replacement parts.

Here is a picture of broken part. The taped area is ok just the 2 outside cracks.

Gary sorry it had to break on you,  It does look like it is repairable with a tig torch and some time, especially if you have the broken off pieces.  If not then a duplicate could easily be made.  From what I see the broken area could be filled in with the tig and then shaped, drilled and re tapped.   A guide from another similar band saw could at least be modified to fit.

I took the liberty to do some searches on the west coast for a replacement for you, but none found.   Good luck finding the answer to the problem.

I found a part that is being sold as replacement part for the Twains clone band saw here is a picture just looks like mine. If it works they also sell for $84 ball bearing guides to replace the bumper guides.

Do you think I should upgrade to the ball bearing guides if possible?

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
