Someone has this older model craftsman table saw for sale, and I was wandering what any of yall thought about it? It is 3 hp but I have heard that sears hp rating can be a little overrated. What would this be worth to you, or would it be worth buying at all? Thanks

I have had mine for 20 + years. I did change out the fence system to get better accuracy. This old saw is what I used to build these bookcases and fireplace mantel. The 3hp motor handles the larger wood thicknesses without bogging down. I do have the cast iron table extensions and had to put wheels on it in order to move it around in my shop. The saw works great and once set properly will be accurate for years.

What model is it
The Craftsman saw appears okay.
Check various sources for the asking prices on used equipment---
Craigs List, or the like.
For 100 to 200$, take it and run.
A 3 HP will be adequate for your sawing needs.
What's the "SF'' (service factor), marking on the motor nameplate?
I gave $225.00 for this some it is 3 hp also got dado set ,wheel base, upgraded fence, push sticks three throte plates nylon dust bag (its a joke)two extra blades. It is a 1990's saw .I think it is good but thensome who have more pronounced names for there saws would say craftsman is junk. It serves me well and makes me money thats all that counts

Thanks for all the replys, guy is asking $135 for it, I was thinking about 100. I dont think it comes with any blades. I may email him and see what he says. Thanks for the photos from everyone. Though decisions. I have only used a small contracter table saw that I could carry around by myself, so Im sure that anything is better than that.
Jerrod,
135$ is a good deal.
I'd take it and run.
You're not likely to get a deal like that, ANYWHERE!
I'll take it for 150$
Re ''saw blades''---I wouldn't make that an issue.
I'd want saw blades to suitable for the materials I'm cutting.
Oftentimes I'm given saw blades, from others---
many are worthless for my needs.
When your ready to purchase saw blades, just start another thread/topic---
some will be happy to jump in and provide suitable inputs.
( You can also do a search on Kregs Community Webpage).
FYI---some contract table saws are better than some table saws, I've seen on the market.
Well I missed out went to craigslist to get the number and it was gone. Your right Ken Im sure it was worth the $135 I had decided to just give what he was asking but guess I should have called last night, but I wouldnt have the money till Friday. Live and learn, thanks for replies, guess I will go back to watching classifieds.
Jerrod,
I know the feeling---
when I was hesitant, then followed-up later---
the item was gone.
Don't give up---another will come-up---
Perhaps you'll find something more to you liking.
Yeah thats what Im thinking, if it had a better fence I would have jumped even if it was priced at around $200 range, but got to wait till payday anyways. Oh well, give me something to do during down time at work

Hi. I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing. How effective is it? It's adaptable to any router table. Continue

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
