Hello,

My name is Patrice and I live in France. I work wood since some years and I've discovered the Kreg Jig two months ago.

I've begun a cabinet to place it between my desk, a wall and shelves. So, it was an unusual cabinet ! The Kreg Jig save me to assemble it with simplicity. I have not tamed my new friend Kreg, but I think I am in a good way !

Now, I'm beginning a oak table. I'll probably use Kreg, but also tenon and mortise for feet and rails.

Hi Gary,

I'm waiting to get a call from the church so I can arrange delivery. At that time I'll install the stained glass and take some pictures to share. I didn't want to bring the window back to my shop for fear of breakage in transit.

Sorry about the spelling,I got shed the first time,also flack a c not two k's. I am a Licened London Taxi Driver of 40 years, so DIY is a relief, Ive been pulled of off the rad cover and iv'e been making curtians for my partner's daughter, im trying to think how i can use the Kreg? they are so serious and frightened that I will use it? Anyway thank you all for your replys

I'm Bill but a lot of people know me as Bubba.

 

Got my Kreg kit many years ago at "The Woodworking Shows"  Have used all the jigs, clamps, etc. and always add to the screws and other parts when the "shows" are in town in Apil.  I have used it in construction as well as repair whenever two or more pieces of wood need to be connected.

Hi I'm Geoff from Cincinnati I have had my Jig for about 10 hours and have already made a new worktable out of scrap 2x4s and a slab of MDF. My main experience is in landscaping, circuit building and demo and have little to no experience with building. Although my great grandfather was a mason so I guess construction is in my blood :)

Hi, I'm Randy. Always aspired to do woodworking. My Dad was a carpenter, and I shingled the roof of every house I ever lived in and tried to help my Dad around the house as much as I was able to (since I could swing a hammer). Still, I never really became much more of a woodworker than a wanna be. I've had lots of big ideas and big plans that never came to fruition. Now I've taken on a pretty big project with my Kreg Jig, and it's going great. Having this tool has really made things possible for me to do.

I decided to become self employed and move into the kitchen fitting business. Brought a kreg jig, but don't think I have seen its true potential yet. Hi Everyone!

My name is Alita and I live in Oregon.

I just purchased the Kreg Master system and I'm very excited to start using it.  I started out wood working by using  Sears Contractors Series Scroll Saw and became very skilled with elegant and fancy fretwork clocks among other items.  I then started making simple furniture items like a very simple hutch to display my China just by using a band saw,scroll saw, and my router.  I have the standard must have tools for anyone who does woodworking with the exception of having a planer or joiner.  Will be getting those within the next year or two.  I consider myself a beginner when working from detailed plans - I still need simple ones yet.

 

I joined this forum in the hopes that I can learn many new skills and tips to help me become more proficient.  Since i just got the kreg system I need to learn and fully understand how to use it and the dvd is helpful but I really want to learn how to use the jig when making angled or rounded items.  I couldn't find much at the kreg.com site on this.

Hi James!

Thank you for the link to the manual showing how to use the jig on angled items.  The manual said to use a table saw or sander to remove the extra material but I think I'll use my draw knife instead.

Hello Alita, Welcome to the community of Kreg Jig owners, I live in Salem, Oregon about an hours drive north of you.  Like Springfiend alot and been there many times having bought my German Shepherds puppies from Waltersville just on the outskirts of Springfield.  Nice to see another Oregon Member and looking forward to seeing some of your project posted on here.    Again welcome aboard.
