From time to time, I get asked for building plans on my projects. I also get comments that people want to build something I've made. It made me wonder, have any of you actually built something you've seen on this site because you were inspired to do so? If you have, what did you build?

I will never build an exact replica of someone elses project, but getting ideas are what i like looking for then putting my little spin on them. I have learned one thing about wood working in my short time with working with it in the last year. I can build two of the exact same things but they both will have different characteristics to every piece.
I am wanting to build an outfeed table for my table saw and was unsure what I really wanted. I saw the outfeed table built by Ted Broussard and plan on building something very similar as soon as I finish my current project, cabinets, lots of them.
I'm actually seeing the benefit of an outfeed table too. I should get around to making something too.

Depending on space you have to give up ,but I drilled some hard wood arms to my saw extensions and notched the arms to receive a 2x2 and the built a foldaway table that hooks on the 2x2's.hen done fold up the legs and store it
I am looking to improve my new shop. Some of the projects inspire me. I just wish I had more time to work on them.
I've done two projects from purchased plans and have been extremely satisfied with both.

The first, was a Bear Mountain Boats, "Redbird" 17 1/2 foot cedar strip canoe built from plans in the book "Canoecraft" by Ted Moores. It is truely a wonder to look at and to use. You cannot take it out without gathering a crowd on or off the water.

The second project was the "New Yankee Workshop Router Station". I finished it a few months ago and wouldn't trade it for the world!
Don:
I've taken ideas, and memories of projects seen in times past and even reverse engineered projects, but always, as Jeff states, have never made an exact copy of someones project. It is almost like I just can't do it. I've modified it to suit the times and purpose of the project at the time and have learned to appreciate the thought and ingenuity of the people responsible for some of these great projects. The fact that these projects are being shared by the people creating them is awsome and is the reason forums like this one flourish. Being asked to be able to use your ideas or plans for it speaks for itself.

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
