I want to join two boards at a 45. I've cut both at 22 1/2 so that they will make a 45. These are 3/4" boards. I've looked at the video's that come with the K4 but they don't talk about the depth setting or lenght of screw. Naturally, I can do some trial and error, but I was hoping someone would have a technique worked out already.
Thanks

You should find almost everything you need, here.

Good luck!
I've seen this video but what I can't figure out is how to set the depth. Even though the material is 3/4 inch, you don't actually have that much material to work with because of the angle.

FYI - The images (below the video) on the page I linked discuss compensating for the lost thickness.
This is perfect. Now, can I actually find that document on this site so that I can print it out?
Thank you for your help.

I need the same answer for joining 2x4's on a 45 degree angle. Help
It's not directly on point for this particular discussion, but it relates. This is a link to a neat use of the kreg jig.

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
