"I mounted mine on a bit 3/4" plywood. Here's a picture of it hanging on the wall. Actually it is sitting on a rail, and retained by a cleat and the Kreg clamps around the conduit. If you look closely you will see a drill bit and driver bit stored there as well (in two of the guide bushings of the jig). Not too purty but it works and keeps everthing together. Often I just sit it on the bench, unless working with large workpieces it is not necessary to even clamp it "
Are the blue blocks a Kreg option/accessory? I assume they are the same height has the Jig..

Rex, I opted to mount my Kreg jig and give it its own dedicated space. I knew that if I had to fool with setting it up over and over I would never use it. But one bit of advice I found before I did this has made such a difference. I read somewhere to set up the jig at just under waist height. This saves the back and shoulders when using it repeatedly. (which I do!). Drilling downward over and over has not been a problem. Before I built this table from scrap lumber I made a very short pair of sawhorses. LOL
Here is a picture. Yes, it is very low... I am only 5'2"
I also had an old drill that I use just for this. Now I never have to remember to charge the battery and it is there ready to go!
I keep mine in a portable stage so I just grab my work board and go

Looks like a great setup, Jens! I'd like to see a video or some more photos of your dowel solution... looks like it should do the job. Thanks for sharing!

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
