I'm looking to buy the Shelf Pin Jig. I see Amazon sells the KMA3220 and KMA3200 but they both seem the same yet are different prices. Anybody know what the difference is? Thanks

Andy , the 3220 has 5 mm pins and the 3200 has 1/4 " pins, hope this helps , JIM !
Thanks Jim. Do you know if one is more popular than the other purely for obtaining the pins and pin prices etc?

Andy, you are welcome , I have the 3200 with the 1/4 " pins , easy to get , hope this helps , JIM !!
James was exactly right on the differences--1/4" vs. 5mm. I have no idea why the prices are showing up differently.
We used to sell more of the 1/4" version, but the 5mm are as popular now. 5mm is the European standard, and slowly the US seems to be moving that way. Many stores sell pins in both sizes, including Lowe's and Home Depot.

Just picked up the 3220 at Lowes here in Florida. The only model they sell. They only sell the 5mm shelf clips of various styles. Looking forward to trying out this tool. Making a bookshelf and a few small cabinets.
Inch vs metric:
1/4" (.250) = 6.35mm
5mm = 0.197"
6mm = 0.236"
Conversion Chart:
1/4" size is the preferred for
thick glass, bookcases or large shelves.
1/4" dia cutting tools, such as drill-bits and router bits, are more common.
NOTE:
When using shelf pins in particle board or plywood,
some prefer to use grommets/"shelf pin sleeves".
These 1/4'' pin support sleeves are the ideal companion for 1/4'' Shelf Pin Supports to add strength to your adjustable cabinet shelving.
Sleeves require a 9/32'' (0.218) diameter hole, 3/8'' deep.
Thanks all. I've ordered the 1/4 inch one and looking forward to using it at the weekend!

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
