Sketch pads are handy.
I make 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 sketch pads, by cutting 8 1/2 x 11 reams of plain paper in half.
(I find the smaller pads more useful, when a full size isn't necessary or too large).
Insert a divider at 1/4 - 3/8'' intervals, between the sheets.
(dividers can be salvaged on the back side of 8 1/2 x 11 notepads).
Apply ''notepad padding compound'', along the 11'' side.
Clamp the sheets together 'til the glue dries. ( it may be necessary to apply 2-3 coats).
Separate the pads, with the divided on the bottom side for each pad.
Cut in half across the width of the padded sheets, to make 5 1/2 x 8 1/2'' pads.
Now you have your own shop made handy sketch pads.
Or, if you choose, you can have your local office supply store make them up, (just ask at the service counter).
TIP:
Add grid lines, at 1/4'' intervals, on a clip board.
(I use a Sharpie black Ultra fine point pen to make the grid lines).
The grid lines will show thru lightly, with a single sheet of paper.
The grid lines are handy to make straight lines as well as making scaled sketch drawings.
A transparent "T-Square", the size to fit a clip board, is also handy to have nearby.
i to do my plans like this and still build it, its known in my home as "dads diy shorthand"...
Thats great. I thought I was the only one proficient in the style!
LOL...are you kidding me...I wish I could be so talented and build something using those plans..no offense, but kinda looks like chicken scratch..and look at what you built..you did an awesome job!

Hi. I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing. How effective is it? It's adaptable to any router table. Continue

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
