Hi there,
I'd like to edge join three 1" thick boards that are 8.5cm / 3.25" wide.
Initially, when I tried to do this, I realised that the jig itself would be overhanging the boards and not really sure if I'll get the drill to drive into the wood properly.
Has anyone edge joined boards this narrow?
Thanks for your help.

Gordon , if you are drilling one board at a time with your R-3 and the board is a true 1" x 3 1/4 " and you plan to end up with a board that is 9 3/4 " wide , by laying the three boards flat and edge to edge , the R 3 should work To drill them !! If your board is what we call a 1 " x 4 " here in the USA it probably a 3/4 " x 3 1/4 " and your R-3 should be set for 3/4 " , hope this helps and I did not confuse you ,happy wood working , JIM !!
Measuring the depth of the pocket for the regular jig the pocket should start 2-9/16" from the joint edge of the board, so you should be fine. I measured the micro jig too - that starts at 2-7/16" from the joint edge. The pockets should not extend to the edge away from the joint.
From what I can calculate, the screw will extend just under 1", so the pocket hole for one board over shouldn't interfere with the screw end of the adjacent board.
Thanks so much Ken. That's a great help. I sure appreciate you taking the time to check these measurements for me.
Thanks so very much for your help Jim.

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
