Amazing isn't it? Quite a bit gets by too. I've had one of those lids for some time now but was still changing vac bags faster than I liked. Then last time I got bags they were nearly $10 ea!!! I just put a Dust Deputy on last week, we'll see how that goes.
I think that I get 90-95 % of chips when planning.And when just using table s aw the cyclone don't get hardly any sawdust. I usually shake my bag after I shut down the shop in evening and quite allot of dust falls in the plastic bag.What is a dust deputy??

Hi Jens - Dust deputy is a little more of a sophisticated (read pricier) cyclone system made by Oneida Air Systems. Seems to be working pretty good, Have gathered a lot more in the bucket after doing a lot less work but I have set up any real quantitative testing on it. I grabbed it off Rockler when they had a 20% off coupon floating around as I seldom see these things discounted.
