Charlie,
I own Ridgid 18 volt Cordless. I got them from the Home Depot Store. What I like is the tool and battery's are life time, as long as you register them. When you buy a kit that is. I have a 1/2 hammer drill driver. Works great on anything I have done.

I prefer a corded drill for drilling and a battery drill for fastening. The corded drill is plugged into a device that turns on the vacuum when the drill is running.
I usually use a corded drill for long projects with a lot of drilling but my Milwaukee cordless has no problem drilling lots of HD holes.
I use my Milwaukee brushless drill. It has plenty of power!!!
I like the M18 Fuel drills. These are brushless drills that deliver a lot of power. The Li-On batteries last a long time, too. I got the set with the drill and driver. I use the drill to drill the holes and the driver to put the screws in.
My local Home Depot has them on sale this week for Father's Day. I suspect Lowes may, too. They are expensive but I think they are worth it.
My only problem was going from the Black and Decker, which I like, to the more powerful drill, I have to be very careful not to drive the screws in too fast and strip the holes out.
Hi Charlie ,i am in the U.K. screw fix doing a deal on a Bosch battery drill gsb 18 2 li with 4.0 ah battery £99.99 more than enough power . I use Hitachi battery drills again from screw fix model dv 18 dgl/jc comes with two 1.5 ah batteries never found these batteries to lack power for all my woodworking tasks ,and i have had these drills 5 years now . I HAVE A Makita impact drill also and i find it to fierce for alot of woodworking applications ,hope this helps .
Glad to help Charlie , if you find it to powerful for some applications turn the clutch down a notch or two go steady.
Hey, you should see if you can get your hands on the Fein ASCM 4x speed drill for all situations.
It comes with 2 x 18v 5.2ah batteries, but they are light and they really drive home any screw.
We have used them for drilling straight into oak a m10x600mm screw! Brilliant piece of kit if you can find a FEIN dealer near you. See this for a little teaser. Fein ASCM 18QX
Didn't realise you were in the UK, I sell them in Kent ;-)

Hi. I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing. How effective is it? It's adaptable to any router table. Continue

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
