Hello

My name is Rob I live 60 miles south west of Chicago IL. I've worked with some kind of wood most of my life.

My Dad used to make furniture as a hobby after he got home from work. I would always go out to the shop and either watch him and learn and sometimes I could help. But the one thing he used to let me do almost every day was sweep up the saw dust. My Dad gave me my first pocket hole jig. It wasn't a kreg but it still worked just the same. I've made all of the tables beds and dressers in my house. I'm planning on making a wall of cabinets in my garage this summer. I've priced out store bought cabinets and wow $$I didn't want the ones made out of gold. I just made a very large wall of cabinets for the VFW. For the vets to put their parade uniforms in and other stuff. That is when I went out and purchase my new Kreg jig. I almost didn't purchase it because it was $160 plus $40 for one more clamp. I'm glad I did the joints are so strong a little glue and two screws walla you just made one very strong joint.

Hi. My name is Trevor and I worked in Maintenance but retired after a accident at work and to pass the time I needed a hobby.

Although I have never worked much with wood I decided to have a go at it. I found the experience working with steel helped a great deal. I purchased the Kreg K5 to make some projects faster and easier. I wish I had bought the pocket hole jig years ago, It certainly does what I wanted. accurate and fast. To test out the K5 I made a pot plant stand out of left over treated pine I had laying around and 3 hours later from rough sawn timber to ready for paint is pretty good.

I work at a nursing home. I wish that I could get a job working with wood everyday. It would be so nice to find a job doing something that you love to do.

Hello.

This is Tom from Central NJ. Just getting into using the Kreg jig.

Hi I'm Keith from the UK. I'd describe my wood working style as rough and ready, hoping the mini jig will add a bit of finesse to my projects.

Hey All, I'm Toby and am a total beginner at woodworking. Purchased the jig some months ago. Only recently purchased a few more Kreg products to keep me going. Want to orginize the shop better, So some cabinets and shelving are in order.

HI Toby , welcome to the community, If you go to top right hand corner in search  and type in garage storage , there is a very nice portable storage unit that is portable made by Lorrie , this may give you a good start , Happy wood working , be safe and have a good day , JIM !!

My name is Marc and I live in Raleigh, NC. New to woodworking and recently purchased a Kreg jig. Looking forward to learning and building.

Hi Marc, welcome to the world of wood working , there are  some that have free plans , Ana White is one of them, Happy wood working and hope to see some of your projects posted on the site  when you have them built , have a great day , JIM !!!

I'm retired from the U S Navy, and I love woodworking.

Good morning from the East. Hermitage,Pa. I'm new to wood working and just purchased the Kreg system. My goal is to make chairs for around the pool and storage cabinets for the garage. I was a Corpsman in the Navy Scott.

Hello,

My name is Anthony Eaglebarger and I am not new to woodworking, matter of fact, I just found this post a year after joining the Kreg community. I tend to make custom furniture so hand carved and wood burned if that is your taste usually just hand carved. I make projects both big and small, and am now looking at building my first set of cabinets for my kitchen, the wife and her "honey do" list.

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
