Everly,
Thank you for the kind words. I must say I'm sort of intimidated by all the talented people that I've seen so far with their posted projects. I hope that I can build something that is worthy of being posted.

Upon retirement about 4 years ago, I was looking for a hobby that will keep me occupied and also provide some enjoyment. So, I took up woodworking and have not looked back since.
Woodworking has been quite a fulfilling hobby for me. There is no greater sense of accomplishment than having a set of plans, a pile of wood, and various hardware pieces and turning it all into a fully functional piece of furniture or whatever that my wife can enjoy.
Now, I am looking to take my skills to the next level. Finding this group is going to go a long way in helping me achieve the goals I have set for my woodworking future.
I hope to be a productive member and an active participant in this great group.Chief T.

Hello,
I'm Al from Illinois west of Chicago. I picked up a K5 over the weekend for a fireplace re-do project I am just starting, credenza cabinets book cases and converting a painted floor to ceiling brick fireplace face to a wood face from mantle height up. I am looking forward to learning from the community.
Al, I am re-doing my fireplace mantel also. coming along fine, but having never worked with the Kreg system, I am finding it is quite easy. will see what the final project looks like. had white tile on the fireplace before, now only wood with the mantel.
Welcome Scotty and Al. Looking forward to seeing pictures of your mantel project. Got my plywood and trim for my mobile miter station top yesterday. Nice man cut it to size for me so all I have to do is screw it onto the Kreg Universal Workbench frame and cut the trim pieces. Then onto the real challenge - the removable bed extension wings! Stay tuned for that one - I have what I think is a workable solution using leftover plywood and pivoting 1x2 support.
My Name is Don Lallier and I live in a small town in Nebraska. I am retired and my past work with a Kreg consists of building a bookcase that came out niceer than I expected. I am waiting for my new wookworking shop to be comp[leted and delivered to my home . It 13x14 feet and I am going to devote it to just wood working projects .
Thats about it from here in Orchard, NE
Greetings, My name is Mark and I live in Marietta, GA. I have been woodworking for 40 plus years and have built anything from furniture to toys. I have also done carpentry work having built a couple of houses and shop buildings over the years. I just bought my Kreg K4 a couple of months ago with the thoughts of building a kitchen island. I have used it for several projects but haven't gotten around to the island yet.
Hi all - Nick here from Northwest Iowa.
I bought my first Kreg jig a few years ago and have used it off and on for a few projects. Most recently I built a couple upper cabinets for my shed. I started out with small projects, and have been working my way up! Next project is to build some custom lower cabinets for my basement.
I'm too busy fishing in the summer to do any woodworking, but don't ice fish, so I'm in my heated garage building stuff in the winters! I'll try and post some pictures once i figure out how!

Hello, my name is Diane and I live in NW Iowa. My husband and I are somewhat retired these days. And instead of giving my husband a honey-do item, I find a project and we do it together. :) I bought him a Kreg system a couple months ago along with an idea of making cubbies for the playroom for the grandkiddos. We must have done a good job as two of our kids now want us to make some for them. The Kreg made our project much easier and very sturdy. We haven't done woodworking projects like those seen here but are looking forward to learning! We would like to build a corner TV media cabinet and because of the Kreg system and it's ease of use, we are ready to try!

Hi. I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing. How effective is it? It's adaptable to any router table. Continue

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
