Kreg Rip -Cut Tool ?

So has anyone purchased this and used it? How do you like it? I read a lot of reviews about how its made of cheep plastic and is not as good as it is made out to be. I wanted to see what people here say about it before I decide to buy one or not.  Thanks.

Definitely plastic... not particularly cheaply made though. Like most Kreg stuff it is well built. My issue with it was the guide arm sticking so far out on the right and the fence being a little short allows the saw to rotate slightly at the end of the cut. Not show stoppers by any means, both issues can be worked around, just a couple of things that make for an accessory I'm less than excited about.

I've tried mine once so far, just with a little cut off saw attached, did the job but was a little awkward to hold the guide against the plywood and push the saw, may get easier with practice. Still think a cheap table saw would be easier and more versatile. If you already have the skill saw and occasionally want to rip sheet, it does the job better than a simple straight edge.

Hi Gary - Doing the job a rip cut was designed for, breaking down large sheet goods, would be an awkward, difficult and highly dangerous job on a small table saw.
