Hello Loren  I am a just recently purchased  the K5 Jig and had a problem with hold down assembly. I was not sure what was going to happen. I emailed them and the next day i had a reply and one was shipped the next day to replace.

It was awesome they took care of it and made me one happy camper.

I sure if they can they will give absolutely the best customer service possible,

Good luck and hope you get your master kit and Rip Cut Guide soon.

Hello, my name is Jim and I live in central AR. I just got the K4 master set for Christmas and I'm loving it all ready.I'm Just beginning woodworking and the Kreg Jig makes things so easy. So,I'm looking forward to meeting others that can help in anyway.

I'm Kevin I have done a little bit of woodworking in the past and this spring I am building a shed big enough that I can get into it as a hobby.  I would like to build furniture and cabinets.  I am also looking for other ideas of things to build.  So far with my Kreg Jig i have made shadow boxes.

Hello, this is Dennis from Middle Tennessee. I am retiring shortly (like in 3 weeks) and I am looking for things to keep me busy. I have been doing minor woodworking project for the last 40 years and the Kreg Jig looks like the tool to "up my game." I am very excited to start using the Kreg Jig and I am busy listing, designing and planning projects, especially for my "Man-Cave."

Hello! My name is Judy and I live in the suburbs of Baltimore, MD. I have never built anything more complicated than assembling small pieces of furniture. Although I don't want to become a skilled woodworker, I wanted to learn to use the Kreg jig to reinforce some furniture pieces that need some stabilizing. Now I see quite a few projects that should be fun to help me get my feet wet.

Hello and Welcome Judy,

I use to live in Finksburg, about 22 miles west of Baltimore. You have come to the right place to learn !!

Have a great woodworking experience, as it will get under your skin.

Hello my name is Bob and I live on the shore line in CT.

Am getting back into woodworking after many years.

Bought Kreeg Jig to make cabinet.

Greetings, I am trying to be a woodworker now that I am retired and have more time available.  I have the Kreg Master System and would like to know if someone could recommend the best box-joint jig that I can make?

Thanks,

Ken

Hello my fellow Kreganonians! I don't know if that is what we are called but if we don't have a name then I invented it and I call PATENTCY! :)

I'm brand new to woodworking. I am just trying to get all the basic tools together as of yet and make the EXTREMELY LIMITED amount of space I have available to me as efficient as possible.

I, like many here, have purchased a few products from Kreg which include the Master System and Precision Benchtop Router.  Although I was a bit disappointed that the table didn't include some of the basic things that other router tables I've seen and purchased (and since returned due to proprietary, compatibility issues and even getting missing parts replaced being a nightmare) come with by default like a miter gauge, switch (this one dumbfounded me) and a couple of featherboards. Especially when considering the price. I'm wondering if I've made a good decision on that purchase. I will say that it is, although marginally, larger than most of the others and has a fairly sturdy stand for a benchtop it does seem to be something that will last for years to come.

In the process of just getting a router and router table that will work together I've learned a great deal about some of the things to watch out for when it comes to the proprietary nature of the tools required for wood working. I still have a great deal of tools that I need to get I'm sure and I'm still discovering what some of them are and which ones will be useful and which ones might sit in the corner of the shelves and drawers and gather sawdust.

I've completed a few projects so far using my router , table saw and other tools I've purchased but those were mostly restorations to some vintage and antique things I picked up from Craigslist from the free section. And I've replaced all the doors in our home including both the exterior and interior doors.

My first, from scratch projects are going to be very simple things just to learn more about using the router with the table and how to do some basic joinery, bit cuts etc. such as a box to store our recyclable plastic bags and a bread box.

Although I've heard the terms like tenon joints, biscuits (I have some of those for my dog and tried to eat one hoping I'd learn how to do more woodworking better I just ended up thirsty and a bland taste in my mouth) and all those other terms.

I'm hoping to find more information and maybe even one day have some useful information for others to come that can be helpful and useful as well.

I would like to suggest to you others that are just starting out (and I guess to you experienced masters of the wood craft) to keep an eye on the free section of your local Craigslist as I've been able to gather a great deal of wood there for me to learn from ( means I don't need to spend money on my mistakes) and I've even found a few useful tools there for free. Just please be careful as we have all heard some of the horror stories. Use common sense and be wary of ads that you can't get contact information from the poster. Some good stuff can come from there but also some bad.

Hi Ken , I think Michael Evans built one a while back , may be  he can give you some Ideas on the box jig  , Jim !

Hello, I'm Jim from Niagara Falls New York. I consider myself the jack of all trades and you know the rest. I love creating things but I never seem to get it the way it's suppose to look. I look forward to learning from someone who has made the mistakes I am going to make and tell me what I did wrong.

Jim,

Since I am new to the community can you you tell me who Michael Evans is and how to contact him?

Thanks,

Ken
