Hello, my name is Tim and I am currently in Virginia.  I have recently decided that one of the hobbies that I would like to pursue was woodworking.  So I am fairly new to this.  My wife recently purchased a Kreg Jig for me and I was curious about all the wonderful things that I could potentially make.  So I decided to join this forum to see the many projects and ideas that people are working on.  So far I have been impressed by it all.  This is going to be an excellent start to my new hobby.

Hello, my name is Cliff Halstead and I live in Clifton Texas just outside of Waco Texas. I'm 72 years young and love wood working. I have been doing stocks for a number of years and have decided to get back into wood working. I'm retired from the computer industry and enjoying being free from commerce.

I hear that Clifford. Spent about 11 years behind a computer doing support work myself, and then took a short hiatus from it while I discovered the art of wood working. And I can tell you now, I ain't goin' back. ;) Enjoy your new freedom my friend.

Hello,

I'm Al. My wife and I are New Hampshire transplants living in western North Carolina since 1997. Both retired

and enjoy the milder climate as well as the landscape is quite similar. I've delved in and out of woodworking

for pleasure and small necessities since high school as time would permit.  I'm a fairly recent owner of a kreg jig. My first project with it was to make wall cabinets to hang in the shop. Of the six, I have three hung but have yet to install the face frame and doors. Will soon complete those as well. I've been hanging around a couple different sites like this since I've retired. Not exactly sure what if any experience I can pass on to this forum but bare with  me as I'm sure there is much I can gain from all here.

Welcome aboard, Al from New Hampshire - now in NC. I live in Carmel, Maine, where it's now 20 degrees with a wind chill of 1 degree. I understand why you headed further south   :-)

I've found this site to be very helpful. I'm sure you will too.

thks for the welcome. Hope all is well in Maine. Can't say I miss the frigid temp. although it was 20 here this AM. it's now a cool 40. I agree I'm sure the knowledge here will appreciated.

Hello, my name is Tony and I am from Russellville, MO. Since none of you know where that is, it is about 25 miles from the Lake of the Ozarks. I bought the Kreg Jig System to build our cake stand for my wedding, and since I had used a pocket hole jig in High School I figured I could use it to build other items. I really enjoy working with the Jig as it makes joining quick, easy and strong. I already have several projects in mind and always have "epiphanies" on how to add to current ideas to make them better and easier to use.
