I have enjoyed my Kreg bench top router table, however it is by far the biggest dust creator in my shop. I would like to enclose the base and attach a dust collector. If you have already done this, I would love to see your pictures and ideas!

Hi jeremy, got the same table have the same problem .However do not want mine enclosed as use space under my table for odds and ends.I should say my table is on a little roll along cart. Can you not just connect a dust extractor directly too the router?

Jeremy,

It's the Router that makes the sawdust/chips---

NOT the Kreg Table.

An open stand provides the user with many options.

The table can be enclosed, by adding panels to the frame, and an access door at the front.

When making an enclosure , it must be ventilated, so as to provide air flow, for the vac system to function and provide unobstructed air-flow for the motor.

A dust bucket dust collection can be installed.

Dust Bucket Dust Collection for Router Tables

Mick,

I don't see the table as a ''problem''---

it provides opportunities.

The open frame allows one to think ''outside the frame"  ; )

Ken thats what i was trying to get at,i did not explain very well.I thought a direct outlet off the router more feasiable. The open table is fine for me as you say  a router problem not a table problem.Go steady.

Mick,

I've installed a switch, with duplex receptacles, on some of my work stands/tables, and the like---

with the vac plugged into one of them.

Suffices nicely--- the vac in energized/deenergized along with the power tool.

I also use a similar foot controlled switch, for some uses.

Best suited when the power needs to be cut-off to the machine, when both hands need to be on the work-piece.

Works for me.

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
