John it looks like a good design. I only have one suggestion and that maybe you use a t square setup to keep the fence square.

Hi Gary - Thanks, tried it out last weekend, it's dead bang on. Here are some new pics. I couldn't figure how to incorporate a t-square exactly so the two clamp blocks have follower dowels on the bottom that ride in the slots and prevent the thing from getting to far out of square. That, and I was very careful to make sure that the tape measures exactly coincide.  The right edge of the clamp blocks line up exactly with the right edge of the fence on the bottom. As long as both clamp blocks align with the same number, you're good to go.....

Got a little patch on my FUBAR also.

I just purchased (May 3, 2013) the Rip Cut and I was so anxious to use it tomorrow (Saturday May 4th, 2013) but that won't be happening.  I bought the Rip-Cut and aver $300.00 worth of other Kreg items today including Shelf Pin Jib, Bench Clamp set up, Micro Adjuster. Clamp Bar, Precision router Table and other Kreg Items.  When I started to put together the Rip-Jig I found that it was missing the Lock Handle, Pointer and the 2 Lock Cams. Very Disappointing to say the least. The Shelf Pin Jig was missing the Drill that was supposed to come with the package.

Did anyone else have these issues??

I live 2 hours from the place I bought it and there is no where that is closer...

I had one other issue when I bought the precision router fence that I got at a local Woodworking show at a "Show Special"  When I got home and checked the web and I found that the "Show Special" was $30.00 more than the regular price of the fence and at that time it was much more expensive.  I was so angry at the lack of interest from Kreg I didn't install the fence until January of 2013 and I loved it.  Now THIS happens..

This stuff seems so cool and I think it's great but I'm beginning to think that I'm having no luck with Kreg Items... So disappointed.

I called and left a message with Kreg but I'm not expecting any answers from them given my past experience.

So much for second chances..

Tim , I have a lot of KREG tools and have had some broken bits and missing parts  and every time I called service , they have taken care of the problem  , no ?,s asked with in a few days !!! I also fond out if you call and get a voice mail , call right back and ask for some one else and I was always taken care of that day !!!

Thanks James..  I have no doubt they are a great company with great tools and customer service.  Just venting and frustrated is all and align that with my bad luck with the tools and you have major frustration.

For example I just now TRIED to put on the Micro-Adjuster on my fence and the threaded bushing that is on the fence let go and now I can't use the adjuster...  If it didn't happen to me, I'd find my bad luck rather funny...

James, you were right, they called today and are fixing me up...

Thanks!

Tim
