Introducing the Kreg Universal Bench.

The easy, affordable way to create your own custom workbench!

Any Space. Any Task. Any Size.

The all-new Kreg Universal Bench system reinvents the workbench by making it easy for you to create a custom heavy-duty workbench, assembly table, tool stand, or outfeed table in a size that you choose to fit your space, your projects, and your needs.

That’s because the Universal Bench isn’t just another workbench. It’s a system of rails and adjustable-height legs, both made from thick, durable steel, that are available in multiple sizes. By combining legs and rails, you can create a bench in 15 possible square or rectangular sizes—from 14"x14" up to 64"x64"—and two different heights.

YOU choose the bench height!

Sturdy 12-gauge steel legs in two sizes (29"- 35" Tall & 15¼"- 21¼" Tall) offer 6" of unlimited height adjustability, so you choose the exact bench height you want.

YOU choose the width and depth!

Steel rails in 5 lengths let you create a bench in one of 15 possible sizes to fit your space and your projects!

YOU make your bench your own!

To complete your Universal Bench, add a bench top made from the material you choose using predrilled mounting holes. Extra holes allow you to mount a shelf, storage, and other accessories to further customize your bench.

Kreg Universal Bench system Features:

2 Sizes of Adjustable-Height Legs:

  • 29"-35" Tall
  • 15¼"-21¼" Tall
  • Made from 12-gauge (1/8"-thick) steel
  • Both sizes feature 6” of height adjustment with no stops or presets, letting you set the exact height you need
  • Built-In leg levelers accommodate uneven or sloping floors
  • Predrilled mounting holes for rails, other accessories
  • Accept optional 3” dual-locking casters for easy mobility

5 Rail lengths:

  • Rails are available in 14", 20", 28", 44", & 64" lengths
  • Rails combine to make 15 bench sizes (14"x14" to 64"x64")
  • Made from 14-gauge steel
  • Predrilled holes for mounting bench top and shelves

You gets what ya pays for Ken,i learned that lesson the hard way.I never had any problems with Bosch kit, got one of there green drills, diy rated .Cost me $60 had it 10 years never let me down, now i said that it will go bang haha.

Mike,

I went overboard $$$ on the Bosch jig saw purchase---

but---

I wanted the best for performance.

Bosch invented the ''jig saw''---

in Germany.

Iknew bosch was originally german ken , however never knew they invented the jigsaw clever buggers those germans.

Sorry, the jigsaw was invented by Albert Kaufmann, in Switzerland, in 1946, and was not affiliated with Bosch until 1954, when Bosch bought the Scintilla company. They did not change the name,  from the "Lesto jigsaw" to "Bosch" until 1964.

Kaufmann exchanged his wife's sewing machine needle with a saw blade, and the rest is documented history.

The powered jigsaw was invented in Switzerland, not Germany.

Clever buggers those swiss folk Jim.

These benches are perfect for the type of work I do and I like the fact they are on wheels

John,

The casters are optional (extra $).

Thanks Ken ! I still like the idea that they can roll around .

Anyone bought the benches yet are they really available. My lowes does not carry as much as they used to. Never carried the vises. Never seen the HD jig.

I'm looking for a lathe stand. It's gonna be on wheels. I was hoping to use the Universal Bench. I'm having trouble with the 2 height options. From the website:

"Leg levelers and feet allow 6" of unlimited height adjustment (15¼" to 21¼” and 29" to 35")"

You can see that at http://www.kregtool.com/Universal-Bench-Height-Prodview.html

Am I seeing that right that there is an 8" gap between 21-29" that one cannot have a table?

My table wil have the locking casters on it which at about 3" of height. So I need a 27" Universal Bench, plus casters to make it the 30" I want. And exactly how much height do the casters add?

Am I right in seeing that as impossible?

Just got off the phone with Dan at Kreg. He confirmed that I could NOT build a 25" tall table.

Why is this called Universal? There is a huge gap in available heights.

I like the table. I'll look into getting the taller one and just cutting the legs down.

Bummer

So lookig at the directions, it looks like there is a second set of offset square holes 4.5" below the holes intended for the top rails. I'm thinking I can slice the top 4.5" off the uprights and I'll be good to go.

Can someone from Kreg tell me if there is some reason this won't work?

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
