To all of the Members of the Kreg Jig Community
IT IS WITH SADDENED HEART THAT I ADVISE YOU THAT OUR BROTHER AND FRIEND OF THE KREG JIG COMMUNITY HAS PASSED AWAY.
ON MONDAY MARCH 04 JENS JENSEN DIED OF A SUDDEN MASSIVE HEART ATTACK ON HIS WAY TO THE HOSPITAL IN EVERETT WASHINGTON. THIS WAS A SUDDEN OCCURANCE AND NOT EXPECTED.
Jens and I became good friends trading woodworking thoughts and ideas for many months.
I last heard from Jens the weekend before his death and then no further comments were sent to me. His last email to me was cheerful and happy and spoke of no health issues. He was totally involved with his wood work. After a couple days he did not answer my e-mails and I was beginning to wonder if his ailing mother had passed away. I never expect this sad news.
His wife Barb let me know of his death tonight 03-12-2013.
I am letting the community know so that thoes whom were close to Jens will know of his passing. I know he many friends in the Kreg Jig Community and his love for woodworking will be remembered. He will be greatly missed. Jay Boutwell

Friends are forever,
you might lose them
but you'll never forget them.
I am very saddened to hear this as he was not only a devoted member of this Community, but also a friend to us all. My heart goes out to his family and friends.
I will miss Jens sorely. I learned much from him in the few short years we were acquainted.
They should post his profile to the main page I think that would be a nice remembrance of him.
Jay,
Thank you so much for posting, I was wondering also, I had not heard from him in a while either.
Jens always liked to talk about Bluegrass and Woodworking, he was a good friend and will be missed in the community.

I am so sorry to hear of Jens' passing. I so enjoyed seeing his work and "knowing" him through this forum. He will be missed. Peace and grace to his family.

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
