My name is Hap Smith Jr. I am from southern California (LaPuente) originally. I joined the Marine Corps in the early 1970's and have lived all over the world, or many parts of it since then. After I retired from the Corps we moved from Virgina (Quantico) and we planted ourselves in Missouri where my wife is from. I have built things all my life, mostly guns, as in gunsmithing for the Marine Corps. I have also built things over the years that were made out of wood. I used the KREG system while I worked in a custom cabinet shop WW Wood Products Dudley Missouri, Google, look em up online. I bought my first KREG tool a few months ago, still in the box, due to health issues. I joined this site to pick up tips and get ideas for future projects. From what I have seen so far, it was a good choice to join here and a good choice to buy a KREG tool. I'm pondering my first KREG project, no more bisquits for me...
Thanks for having me aboard..

I just wanted to say welcome to the site, Devil Dog...

Look at all the Blue Man Groupies here. I can't tell which is which. Anyway, Welcome to all the new blue faces. It is said, that if a man has a desire to do woodworking he will find a place to do it. I saw photos of a young man in Ontario, Canada building a 16' pirogue in his apartment flat. He had to build it diagonally and when finished, he shove it through his window and strapped it to two skateboards and pushed it to his friends house to put the finish on. This community is like family to me. I share what knowledge I have and I gain it as well. Some even share their plans. I encourage you to check out the community and get to know the members. There is a lot of skill and knowledge here at your finger tips.

Hi. I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing. How effective is it? It's adaptable to any router table. Continue

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
