Hi all just bought some timber here wow its got expensive.6"x1" pine is now $1.60/£1 per foot.And western red cedar is hold on to your hats $4.81/£3 per foot.Interested to know the price for prepared timber over in the States see how it compares to UK prices,any ideas folks.?

8x1 red cedar is more readily available, in my area, than 6x1---
that's why I noted it. (My local sources don't stock the 6x1).

I do try ken but one gets fed up with useing manmade boards.Not looked into the price of oak yet,most of my oak i got for free .Thats when i was in the building game.

perhaps one of the reasons for it's high costs.
