I receiently read through the booklet "Basic Cabinetmaking" for a 15" cabinet
with the Kreg jig. It was very well witten. I'm planning to use the system for
36" & 48" wide base cabinets. A question reguarding the Top Frame for cabinets of
these widths. Would you suggest two or more Stiles for wide cabinets? I was
planning Euro style. Would you suggest or think a Face Frame be incorporated for
these widths? My plan is to use 3/4" Birch Ply for the carcases. I'd appreciate any feedback.
Mark's email address that is in the booklet is inoperative.

Jim - FYI - the Cabinetmaking Booklet was recently updated with Mark's new email address. He is very willing to answer questions if you have any! markduginske @ gmail . com
Thanks. I just emailed him. Is the new update available through the Kreg web site? The copy I have says it's a Copyright 2005 on the cover.
I have used this booklet on two of my projects! It is full of valuable info! I think I remember reading in it somewhere that if you widen the cabinets you do have to add stiles.
Cabinetmaking Booklet
ITEM # MD-CAB01

This 40 page booklet covers the basics of building professional face-frame cabinets with Kreg Joinery. The information in this booklet was provided as excerpts from an upcoming cabinetmaking book by Mark Duginske centering around building a single 15" wide base cabinet to help develop skills that will later allow a customer to produce an entire kitchen. This product is available as a FREE Download offer with the purchase of Kreg Jig models K3 / K4 / R3 with a coupon code offering in the retail packaging.

How can one get an updated version of the booklet.  I have the older version but not the updated version...

Wonder if this is the same Mark Duginske that lives in my area.  The Mark I know of has a woodworking operation in Merrill, Wisconsin.  I attended a band saw seminar given by him a few years back.

Does the booklet say anything about where this Mark is from?

If you copy and paste his name in members section it comes up he is your neighbor

Great, thanks.  Small world.

Just recently here locally, the Park Department had to cut down some large,  probably 100 year old Pine trees in a park and if I recall correctly,  Mark Duginske sawed some of these trees into lumber and some local folks here could take some of this lumber and build a project from it and it would go on display somewhere here in town.   Something on that order.

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
