I TRIED TO USE THE RIGHT ANGLE CLAMP THIS PAST WEEKEND ON 5/8" PLAYWOOD AND IT JUST BROKE THE WOOD.  THIS IS THE FIRST TIME USING IT SO I MIGHT NOT HAVE DONE SOMETHING RIGHT.

Because of the veneer sheets I could see this happening if the clamp applied too much pressure. With some test scrap try using less closing pressure. Have you tried the 90 Degree Corner Clamp?

See Mini Review for pictures,

OK THANKS I WILL TRY THAT THE NEXT TIME.

Stop using CAPITALS.  That indicates you are yelling at us.

...or---

the ''CAPS LOCK'' button is stuck.'

PK,

Check the nose piece on the clamp.

It must fit into the drilled hole, without interference.

The clamp is made to fit the 3/8'' dia drilled holes.

If one uses the micro drill jig, the clamp pin/nose piece doesn't fit properly, in smaller holes,

and will lead to fracture of the work-piece.

THANKS KEN.  THE NEXT TIME I USE IT I WILL MAKE SURE IT IS IN THE HOLE ALL THE WAY.
