I have a home built router table and did not put a slot in it. So, I made a square jig that slides along the front of the table. I installed a toggle clamp to hold the work. squareness of your jig the most important thing. Keep plenty scrap around to test your setups on.
If you do not have a miter gage on your router table, you can use a piece of scrap wood cut square ( important it is square) to back up your piece as you send it through. Make sure you keep them square to the fence. In the photo I am using one hand because I am using other hand on the phone to take the picture

, keep both hands on the pieces as you send them through. You can reuse the pieceof scrap on other pieces and you do not have to go all the way through the scrap piece. This will also help prevent tearout of the piece as it exits the bit which is common on end grain.

Doors are one thing I don't use the Kreg on. I use router bits designed for this with the router mounted in a table. Stile and rail
bits aren't cheep but are a good investment.
Hi Michael, You are a Godsend. I never would of visualised the idea. Thanks again.Joseph

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
