My Cornhole Project with Jig

I was encourage through one of the Admins on the Kreg FaceBook page to post up my Cornhole project once completed. I learned a few things that I can improve on for the next set whenever that comes.
Even though it was a little work up front drilling out the holes, it made the tops much nicer versus using deck screws through the top of the board and the patching and sanding.

I'm probably gonna make some for the kids that are 2'x3' versus 2'x4' that way they can move them around by themselves. But they didn't want to stop playing over the weekend on the big boards!! Plus it would be a set for the small kids while they big kids play on the big set.
I'm going to put rope handles on the sides of mine this weekend, since they can be tough to tote around.

Thanks, I'm gonna have to do a few things differently since the recommended settings seem to let some of the screws pop through the top when I drove them into the plywood, Not sure if it was a jig setting issue(need to tweak) or a plywood issue(maybe through soft grain), or hole drilling issue(as in I had the collar slightly wrong) I need a safe setting.

i know this is a very old post, but did you figure out the right settings for the screws?

I used ½" plywood as the top and ¾" pine (1x4s) as the base.  I set the jig and the drill stop to ¾".  I used 1" coarse thread screws to join the 1x4s to the plywood and 1-¼" coarse thread screws to join the 1x4s.

Jig and drill stop is set to the material you are drilling the pocket hole.  Screw length is to the material thickness to which you are joining the part with the pocket hole.

I didn't take a photo of the underside of my boards to show the pocket hole joints.
