This is the easist and coolest tool for all we do
hi name is albert from texas, just started back into garden furniture, after maybe 15 years away from woodwork, the joints made from the kregg jig were great, my first attemt using the jig, i am impressed with the strength of the joints which also allows for the joints made inside planter boxes to be hidden from the outside
Greetings to All;
I rarely join up for forums because of lack of time to spend in them as much as I would like. Folks had fibbed to me when they told me I would have a ton of spare time when retired. I say I'm retired for I like the sound of that far better than my being told that I'm disabled. I have less spare time now than when I had worked at least 2 jobs through the years. I cannot complain though if I wake up in the morn. I know I will have fun, once I have decided on the how after morning Prayer and a good cup of Java to kick start the head. Oops I might be politically incorrect for writing the word 'Prayer', sorry not meant to offend. Maybe I can get away with giving my thanks... to?
I was an active journeymen welder before I got blindsided with my hood down by a backhoe. That quickly changed my way life but I'm here being able to make light of it now at least. I now am able to do things I have wanted to do minus the pressure of some meat ball saying I need to go faster and get more done. To those I would often say..." if you don't like this speed you won't like my other one".
I liked playing with steel/iron and I was very good at it. I had wanted to learn how to play with wood but my lack of time and family duties prevented me doing it. I'm able to do so now and love. I had watched and talked with good carpenters to learn how to be a better fitter. One has a lot less tolerance with steel when building or fitting than one has with wood. That is you don't want the 8 welders happy that a good fitter keeps busy by not leaving them huge gaps to welder up.
After the Docs practiced by operating 14 times to save my arm and healed up, I had a chance to work for a good friends family who did custom trim on high dollar homes....built for at least 14 people and not just the 2 whom it was for. Now I had a chance to learn plus have fun and have been on a learning mission ever since I got my feet wet. Sadly they're out looking for work such is the way for so many. Now my loving wife is having way too much fun dreaming up projects and stuff for me to build for her and that is what brings me here.
This is more than I had expected to write but am looking forward to browsing around this web. Hi to all and a pleasure to be here...because I woke up this fine morn.

May everyone's day be better than your yesterday;
Craig
Hello, my name is Michael. I'm a 3rd generation carpenter/woodworker. I live in West Virginia in the Mid-Ohio Valley. I've only used my Kreg jig for one project, so far. Hoping to get more acquainted with it this summer. Also hoping to learn more from this site and its members.
A big welcome to all of our most recent members! This is a very friendly community... everyone here likes to see project photos to get ideas for their own projects or just to see what everyone else is building and learn a thing or two... if you can, take a few minutes to post a few photos of your latest project! Thanks again for signing up, we're glad you stopped by!

Hi everyone, my name is Tony and I have been Woodworking since highschool. In fact I made a living off of it as a product engineer for Broyhill Furniture industries for 15 years before they sent all thier product lines to china. I have worked with just about every piece of industrial piece of wood working equipment in the furniture industry. I am truly facinated with the way the kreg tool can be used. I first found out about the kreg tool when I worked for Dillon Furniture in Dillion South Carolina. Since then I have wanted one but I did not realize at the time that Kreg had a smaller version. I now own the K-3 kreg and plan on using it as part of my kitchen remodel when I build my new cabinetry.
Hellow, I am French speaking Canadian, I live in Princeville, QC and I have been working with wood since the begenning of time, that means that I was hold enough to used a hammer, a hand saw and nails.
I have built the house I live in right now. help my daughter and my son to rebuild their house,
I have made most of the furnitures in my 6 grandchildrens room
Now I am setting up a HO model railroad in my basement.
I do have a very well equiped workshops that I am proud of.
I'm Ben from Adelaide, South Australia. I'm a full time sales rep in the food industry. I also build time attack and drift cars with a mate on the side as well as do motorsport photography. I started out really keen on woodwork in high school, then got into electronics, then found cars (working with, and spending waaaaaay to much money on). Now that I've settled into the sales role I have come full circle back to the woodwork in my spare time.

At present, I am setting up my shed and making some jigs to build fish tank bases for a mate's wife who just bought an aquarium store. Combining my interest of woodwork and electronics together, I also do a bit of speaker box design and construction and make customised home theatre speaker solutions for the occasional customer.
Hello to all. My name is Neil and I have been tinkering and doing hands on projects since I was about 6 or 7 (always taking things apart and sometimes successfully putting them back together!). I live in Lititz, PA and currently have a small remodeling business, previously had a screen printing and graphic business, before that was a commercial/industrial electrician on public works projects, before that an graduated as a Technical education major from a local university and before that was an electricain in the U.S. Navy (yes I am "old"). I recently did a custom built-in book case/cabinet/window seat project in our own Mastrer Bedroom using ther KREG (wife and friends are so impressed). What a great tool to make strong joints in a face frame and other assemblies. I am now using it to install a semi-custom front and back bar for a client. I just don't see a more economical way to build strong joints! I hope I can contribute as much as I will learn here.
Hi - Kerry here, returning to woodworking after a long absence (apartment living). I just got a new house complete with garage so I'm once again enjoying building pieces the fit our needs in our new home. The Kreg mini is getting a good amount of use as I don't have that many tools and it allows good strong simple joints.

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
