Kreg Owners' Community

Does anyone know of any good free wood working plans or sites out there? I am a beginner wood worker and want to start working on stuff for my daughters, wife and house.

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris - Welcome to the forum:)

One of the best free plan sites I've seen is Ana White. Especially for newbies. I thought there was a link from the kregjig home page but I don't see it anymore. Any way, try this:

http://ana-white.com/

Here is one of my favorites. http://www.thedesignconfidential.com/

Thanks John and Will!! My wife found Ana White about 4 months ago and I have been addicted ever since. Haven't had a chance to check out the design confidential yet but will here in a few. Thanks for replying and if you find anymore, please let me know. By the way John, Ana White is where I found the plans to build my bar stools for my wife. Turned out pretty good, but might make some new ones since I now have my Kreg Jig.

Hi Chris Try www.vintageinternetplans .com

Hey Chris,

don't forget to look through old back issues of DIY, woodworking, or home improvement magazines...i find them at yard sales, auctions, or local classified ads. Then I cut out the best plans/articles and put them in a three ring binder to take up less space.

Google Books has a hundred years' worth of back issues of Popular Mechanics, which often has good plans.
Also look at Absolutely Free Plans and GetWoodworking.com. In addition many woodworking mags have sites that offer free plans if you sign up for their newsletters.

Def knockoffwood.com, VERY BEST plans available and all FREE. she takes pottery barn furniture, 1000 dollar furniture and breaks it down,  very simple to build.

http://angidotes.blogspot.com/ I have a link on my blog, and also, have pics of the projects I've been working on from there. Believe my, your wife/daughter will love this site. I have a list a mile long from my daughters of things to make.

Good luck

There is another free woodworking plans site too. Here is the address www.freewoodworkingplans.com. It has alot of plans you could download or print out. It is label from a to z. Check it out. It even has stuff for kids to do too.

 Good Luck

I tried this site out, I'm building a wishing well, just started, little bit more intense than Ana's site, I had to do a little figuring, mostly outdoor stuff, I like this site as well.

good luck,

angie

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
