Ken, How did you figure out the price per square inch,, If a 36'' x 1'' is 36 square inches shouldn't the roll that rockler sell contain 1296 square inches, and ir you divide 20.00 by 1296 it equals somewhere around .015 a square inch, or am I figuring this out wrong?

I checked out Rocklers, double-stick tape today---
it contains a very thin layer of the foam material, between each layer of adhesive film.
It's marketed for use, in turning operations.
One of the guys, who works there, said he uses it, for joinery and on his router table, and that it does a very satisfactory job.
Use it sparingly---only a small amount, like 1" square piece sizes, placed in strategic locations, is all that is needed.
The roll is one-inch wide by 36yds long, and sells for $20---
that equates to 56 cents per square in.
Pricey!!!
I believe I'll keep looking for a suitable alternative, that is more economical.
Ray,
YIKES!
Sorry, you are right---36yd = 1296 sq in---@ $20 = .0154/ sq in.
I must have had a brain freeze, after a long work day---
or, something in that bottled water, I drank.

althogh at 1.5 cents an inch its still pretty pricey, but it lasts awhile, I keep it in a ziplock bag to keep from drying out

Hi John,
I'm fortunate, my local Rockler dealer is just a mile away.
Some items, I order from the catalog, and have it shipped to the store, for pick-up---
but then have to pay 10% sales tax.
Some items, end up being less costly, to have it shipped to me.
Often times, the catalog has better pricing, on special sale items.
Rockler runs daily, weekly, and monthly specials.
Check 'em out.
