Introducing the all-new Kreg Square-Cut™

Square-Cut™

Available Starting March 1st, at Kreg Dealers Nation Wide
MSRP: $16.99

The problem with traditional squares is that while they give you a straight edge, they do nothing to simplify and speed up the process of aligning your saw to your pencil mark. The Kreg Square-Cut™ simplifies this process with an adjustable guide arm that can be set to work with any circular saw or jigsaw. Simply match the arm to your saw’s unique offset, then use the Square-Cut™ to make fast and accurate cuts over and over again.

The Square-Cut's adjustable guide arm can be set to match any circular saw or jig saw. It compensates for the length from the blade to the edge of the base plate. What does this mean for you? Instead of eye-balling the blade on the pencil mark or using your tape measure to set back your saw from the line to a specific length, all you have to do to get a perfect cut is place the guide arm next to your mark, and make your cut. Faster results, fewer mistakes, and much less aggravation.

Thanks to the adjustable guide arm, you can set and reset it on-the-fly to match different saws you own. As a Kreg Jig owner, does this new product interest you? Please leave your comments below for our engineers and others involved in this exciting new project!

I like this tool...not sure I understand how you avoid damaging the gage with the saw teeth...but if you say so i am a believer...want to lay hands on this tool to evaluate

I think it could be very useful. In the past I have used a speed square for this very task. However, I am on board! I know that this will greatly speed up some of my projects.

However, I liked the trick the guy used in the video making the workbench.

He used a speed square to keep the saw from drifting.

I would like one because I buy my lumber in 11' to 12' lengths and the space available for my cut-off saw won't allow me to cut boards that length. I currently store the boards in my spare garage and cut them to managable lengths with a jig saw before taking them into the shop, some times my cuts get pretty sloppy.

That looks handy. What is the length of the guide? Looks like 12"?

Steve, that's correct... up to 12" or so depending on the type of saw you're working with. (your circular saw would reach farther than your jig saw)

From looking at your photos above, it seems like this will cross cut a board up to about 10-12 inches wide. Is that correct?

I have a miter saw, but this would be good if I only have to cut 1 or two pieces of stock.

Also, regarding product testers... rest assured if we ever need any... we'll start looking for individuals here in the Kreg Jig Owners' Community where we know we could count on good/useful feedback!
