I am building a small chicken coop. If you will note the 2x2 on the lower front of the box. I do not want to attach so it is perment. I want be able to clean the coop by swinging the front panel up and out of the way and then sweep/clean the coop out. Any ideas on how to attach the 2x2 so it locks, but then can be unlocked and then swing up on a piano hinge? Thans

Alternate method:

#3.  Place a barrel bolt at each end of the 2X horizontal member.

Engage the barrel bolt into a drill hole in the vertical member.

(This approach will allow the removal of the 2X member, during cleaning).

Alternate method:

#1. (the horizontal member is shorter in length than the vertical member)

Hinge one end, allowing the 2X member to swing ''up'', and

place a barrel bolt on the opp end.

(Engage the bolt into a hole in the vertical member).

#2.  If the horizontal member is longer than the vertical member---

cut the horizontal member in half.

Locate a hinge at each end, that joins with vertical member.

Locate a barrel bolt, at the joined horizontal 2X member.

A couple of ways to solve the front timber,

1. A couple of pins inserted from each end.

2. Kreg screw it the same way

3. Use rare earth magnets

4. build the 2x2 into a tray then simply slide it out and then tip it out

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
