Thank you Joan for your words of kindness. It is like all my other projects, "a labor of love". Nothing is more satisfying than building something that full fills all the clients wishes and leaves them with something more than they figured they were getting.
Another great job, Jay - thanks for sharing! Your attention to detail is terrific and always an inspiration! Thanks :)
Thanks James, I appreciate your comments. It did have its challenges but that is what makes woodworking so much fun. The flues are always a quick method of dressing up a cabinet. The black inlay around the counter top is also one method of making a simple counter top stand out from the normal. It is easy quick to do and is done on the table saw cutting a 1/4 inch deep by 1/4 inch wide groove. You inlay the amount that you need for the total run in length that allow you to make a seamless length between miters. That way it always matches when you put the miters together. I attach the self edge to the counter using glue and pocket screws before I place it onto the cabinet top. Thanks again and have a great weekend.
JAY , very nice cabinets, also like the fluted design on the front of the sink , as always a one of a kind design , always enjoy looking at one of your projects with lots of storage ,thanks for sharing your very nice work , JIM !!!
George, David, and Ken, Thank you for the nice comments concerning the cabinet project. This was a challenge to do since it is a mobile home that presents its own problems with cabinet installation from not only lack of room but wall studs to hang the cabinets on. The customers are happy as this installation gave them considerable more storage than the original cabinets. The old cabinets were pretty trashed and made of 1/4" paneling and 1 &1/2 inch pine for support of the countertop. The lower parts of the cabinets were made of cheap particle board that was painted over. The doors were simple thin slab doors with old style hinges that were well worn out. The upper cabinet were short 24 inch high by 12 wide and even had sheetrock for the tops. Thanks again.
The new cabinets are a full 38 inches high and 14 inches deep.
Jay,
Beautiful design.
nice work Jay aways great work.
Jay, great job on the cabinets. There is so much retail on every project of yours. It is out standing. George
Thank you Lorrie, I appreciate your comments. I agree with you on the sink flutes as it gives this kitchen some personality that you don't find in the normal cabinets. Also what I try to do is to do a "one of a kind" on every project I do. Incidentally I did a job for the mother of this customer last summer and it is posted on my projects page. It is the red oak cabinet job with all the raised arched panel doors and cabinet sides. It is full of custom work including extended cabinets and pullout features. It has granite counter tops. Thanks again and enjoy your work.
Hi Jay,
Nice Cabinets! I like the design on the sides of the sink. Looks great! I think the Red Oak really adds to the white melamine! Great job! :)

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
