Kreg Owners' Community

Look for owner feed back on the Kreg router table, self squaring fence and lift. Look to purchase one as it has some very cool features. The lift looks to be will though out. But since all the local Kreg dealers just stock the Pocket Hole tools I can not touch and feel it or even just buy it.

So anyone how has first hand knowledge of the Table, fence and or List would be greatly appreciated.

Greg,
I'm interested to see if any of the community members can give their personal thoughts as well... but just to get the conversation rolling... here are a few online reviews I've collected to help get you started:

New Woodworker Review

I bought the Kreg Precision Router Table Fence and The Kreg Table Top last December at Woodcraft. Not wanting an open stand, I elected to build an enclosed cabinet (I should take some picture and post). I also added the Kreg Micro-Adjuster to the fence. This is, IMHO, the best router table system on the market. The fence adjustments are a breeze to make, and with the supplied spacers, makes an excellent horizontal jointer. The fence locks into place solid as a rock. The micro-adjuster is an absolute must-have accessory.

The micro-dot table surface works as advertised, allowing the workpiece to glide along with very little friction. My only gripe with the system is the dust collection port on the fence. It doesn't extend very far from the fence, which made it a bit tricky to use clamps to attach 2 1/2" dust hose. If I were using a shop vac (yuck) or a hose with a slip in fitting it would be fine, but I used a hose and clamp system as I tied my fence dust port into a "Y" that also services the router cabinet. No big deal, but it was a bit tricky at first.

I had been using an older Craftsman Industrial table for about 15 years. Making the switch to the Kreg has made life a lot easier, especially when making cope and stick doors.
Thanks for the info Bob. I ordered the Kerg Table, on/of switch, micro Adjuster all from Amazon, no shipping or tax. Ordered the PC 7518 router, motor only, form Woodpecker. Should all be here next Monday. I was using a 30 year old bench top sears router table. did not work that great.
Spent four hours over the week end assembling the Kreg Router table stand, top, lift, and fence . It is a project in it self. I had all kinds of boxes and tones of parts. I can not say enough about the quality of the product. The finish on the metal stand is just way cool. and the fastener (nuts bolts etc...) are heavy chrome plated and look great. every thing is top quality. Thnaks for a great product.
In the beginning there were boxes, lots of boxes..

Sounds like the beginning to a great novel! ;)
Thanks for the great comments, Greg. I think your thoughts on the assembly process will be read with interest by many potential buyers. Looking forward to seeing the complete assembly....
Lets start with my screw ups. The first one was when I was mounting the PC 7518 router in to the Kreg lift. I missed the insert that explained how the motor adapters are heal in place. The manual did not cover this detail. After I made the mistake I found a piece of paper on the floor that explained how the adapters were heal in place.

Hey Greg,

I bought the Kreg portable router table and I love it. Took me a few weeks to get the guts to cut the holes for my router in the insert....but that was only because I had paid nearly $500 Aussie dollars for it and didn't want to bugger it up. I know what you mean about wanting to have a look at one....my local Kreg stockist (Carbatec) didn't have one on display but was lucky enough that the Distributor of Kreg tools had one at a tools expo....even mounted with the same Triton router I have. The setup works great for me
I was lucky. With the Kreg lift you do not need to drill any mounting holes. I do have the router plate that came with the table, Tt is over on the shelf in a box.

Just received the last two parts for my Kreg router table. The locking casters and the safety on/off switch. So two more boxes to add to the pile and more stuff to install. The cool part is these two items were FREE from Woodcraft when you ordered the Router table package. That's $95 worth of stuff for FREE. Best deal of the month. Thanks Woodcraft!
Any progress, Greg? Do you have your new router system completely assembled yet? Made your first rout yet?
Router table has been assembled since the first post. Have lots of photos of the good stuff and the mistakes. The add-ons were installed the same day I got the parts from woodcraft. Just did not look like there was a whole lot of interest here.

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
