Ben save your money and buy a reel planer I know because I own a Dewalt 13” inch planer it has worked well for me over the years but you have snipe’s and then you’ll have to guy the wings for it to and I wont use it for rough lumber but ask some of the other’s about there’s b good floor model with a 2 HP or 3 HP you’ll thank your self in the long run.

I have run 1000's of feet of saw mill lumber through this machine and have went through two sets of knives in 6 years. It is cheap to own  compared to s4s at  box stores. I think I paid 289.00
I have a 13 inch dewalt planer and it's been good to me for the past 2 years.  They say the knife life is a little shorter compared to most, but they do make aftermarket HSS and carbite tipped blades.  I do agree with David about snipe, but it is what it is, I just cut my lumber longer to begin with and and cut whatever snipe off that's there.  Also, it is nice to be able to walk right into lowes and grab new blades if necessary.   However, if you have the dough for a 2hp or 3hp, that's what you should get, you should always buy more of a tool than less, or you'll be like me and have bought my 4th table saw in 3 years.

Your link has a double http. If take that off and shorten the address to the the / after uk it works.

hi ben, i read some of the other replies and yes you will have snipe. i have used my 13 inch ridgid and sometimes get snipe. i have also used industrial planers and also gotten snipe. just remember to cut your stock long and cut off the sniped portion of the material. in my opinion you will get snipe with just about any planer from time to time. good luck with your purchase. by the way i love my ridgid planer, smooth finish.
sory for the bad link ,    this is the link iam not sure for this planer but many people told me is good  , wath do you think ?  http://www.axminster.co.uk/axminster-axminster-mb1933-portable-thic...
