Dear Noeneel,
I just want to clarify how wide your piece is. You say it's 2.2mm long and 16mm thick. I just wanted to make sure of the width of the piece. If you could let me know I would be able to better assist you.
Hi,
It is 2200mm x 450mm (16mm thickness). Inside the "h" will eventually be shelves - 450mm x 220mm.
regards,
Noeneel

Noeneel,
We recommend putting a screw every 10-15cm when working with wider material. In this instance, I would probably go ahead and put in four screws across the material. The more screws you have, the stronger the joint will be. Hopefully this has answered your question. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.
Thanks. I'll give that a go. Would you also recommend gluing the timber? Or would the screws be enough.
Noeneel,
The screws should be more than sufficient but you can use glue as well to make it even stronger.
So, i finally got around to doing this and after just 30 odd holes, my Kreg drill bit snapped at the tip? This is the first time using this since purchase but wouldn't have thought that MDF would cause the tip to snap. Pretty dissapointed with the drill bit quality if this is normal.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
