My favorite was adding a lighted shelf to the top. The glass panels are removal and I can change them out with whatever décor I choose. The pictures do not show it well but it casts a nice amber glow to my walls and ceiling. I have the light set on a timer.

Thanks Ken, I like it. The height of the cabinet is a little over 4.5 but sits in a room with 9 ft ceilings. The illumination adds to the appearance at night and also serves as a night light :)
