I have the same mill. What's really nice is that it has allowed me to make some "heirloom" pieces. The coffee table top in my picture came from the maple tree from the backyard of my in-laws home where my wife grew up.
david, i havent had any problems with the jig. the first cut is a little taskfull to get right, but once its done you can free saw and it goes fairly fast. i have tried most everyting for a rail system, my suggestion is to purchase the slabing rail from big alaska.i use an old stihl 038 saw with .325-.050 chain, it does a nice job. #72 chain leaves to much curf marks in the slabs. hope this is of help to you, feel free to ask any question.
