this table started out as an oak log in my yard i milled it down into usable lumber with a chain saw mill. after drying i made the table and as you can see i left the bark on the long side and cover the table with epoxy.

i used the epoxy because its a dinning room table and i think it will hold up better

Beauty there,I did some shelves like that also and get to do two more this spring.Mine are maple that I had lying around in shop for at least 6 yrs.

Jig settings for 2 ¾ x 1 ½ boards with 30 degree miters?
