"Thank you Ray, A couple of questions: 1) It looks like you doubled up on each pocket hole, correct? 2) What size of boards did you use for the table top? 3) Was it difficult to make the round edge band? Thanks, Marty"

60 inch Round Table

Hello my Kreg friends,I have been off this forum for some time now, but I am back.I have build a few children's 30" table and chairs - which I am very happy with the results. But now I want to build a 60" round dining table - using the Kreg system for the top.Instead of finding 1 1/2 inch wood, I thought I would use 1 inch (3/4") hardwood material for the top of the table and then construct another  58 inch round top to attach just below it for a nice look. After building each I thought I could…See More

Hi Marty,

The response I posted to your question made me think of another website you may be interested in visiting. Woodsmith.com has great project plans you can download for free. The TV program is shown on public television stations and never disappoints in exposing me to new woodworking techniques. I have seen a few episodes that feature pocket hole joinery but many of their projects could easily be adapted for use with the Kreg jig.

Anyone using the Kreg Miter Gauge? 3 Replies

I'm thinking about getting the Kreg Miter Gauge instead of building a sled for my table saw. I figure the miter gauge would have more uses and since the stock will ride on the saw table there is no drop off like with some crosscut sleds. And it…Continue
