Bob, yes, the scales are quite thick. I don't think that bending and 'creases' will be a problem under 99.9% of situations.

I used to have a tool similar to this in that it had some of the applicability of the Multi-Mark. I eventually stopped using it because the blades were too thin and began to bend and, in some cases, form creases. The photos suggest that the blades are at least thicker than the tool I used. Are they fairly stiff?

Now I could use somthing like that in the wood shop or doing carpentry work as well and the nice thing is you can use it more than just one job.

Jig settings for 2 ¾ x 1 ½ boards with 30 degree miters?
