Design help

I need the help and ideas of the woodworking gurus out here, I have a space between the bed and headboard that keeps stealing my pillows and need to close it off. I thought about pocket holes in some cleats and just lay a board in there. Or maybe order some tracks for sliding doors. I need to be able to get back there for all the stuff plugged in. It's a waterbed so no moving it to screw stuff from behind, so all has to be mounted from the front gap. Let's hear the words of great wisdom. Thanks…See More

"One suggestion. If the shelf is above eye level put the screws thru the top so you don't see them. Below eye level put them on the bottom side. This way you don't have to plug them & they are more easily removed in the future."

They will have support on the ends but could I put a couple of pocket holes in the center to use to be able to screw into the wall studs? Anything I am missing? Thanks

Outfeed/workbench help

Right now my outfeed table is a metal frame with a mdf formica 4x7 top. I would really like to take advantage of the wasted space underneath. I was going to build some cabinets with casters and do away with the metal frame. It will probably be mostly drawers for power tools, if I use 3/4 mdf do I put pocket holes on both sides. How many casters should I use on a 4x7 base?  Thanks Michael See More

Tim Grace replied to Michael B's discussion 'What species for window frame?'
"Cherry is probably the way I'd go. It is relatively inexpensive compared to teak, mahogany or walnut.  It is harder than most pines and firs and is more dimensionally stable."

Kreg Foreman

I have built many kitchens and finally decided to buy the Foreman, because my latest kitchen consisted of 28 cabinets and I was over my hand hurting from all the drilling, moving the clamp etc., it seemed like a smart choice.
