"Featherboards should be before the blade. There should be just enough pressure to hold the work piece against the fence."

Hi all, first time poster.I'm curious about the dimension markings where the material is clamped. I have the Master Jig. I put in 3/4" material, and the readings lined up with the 1-1/2" marking. I did not see an explanation in the manual.If the above isn't clear, these are the only real markings on the jig aside from the depth collar guide.Just curious, as it doesn't seem vital to anything.
